Join the Alumni Association for the second annual job fair May 16

A-B Tech in collaboration with its Foundation and Alumni Association will host the second annual Job Fair, from 2 to 6 p.m. May 16 in the Coman Gym on the College's Asheville campus. The event is open to current A-B Tech students, alumni, and the public.

A-B Tech signs MOU with Appalachian for Honors Program

A-B Tech Community College signed its a Memorandum of Understanding with Appalachian State University to allow students who participated in the Honors Program at A-B Tech a fast track into the Honors College at Appalachian, giving them the opportunity to graduate with Honors. 

Enjoy a free chorus concert May 5

The A-B Tech Chorus spring concert will be at 7:30 p.m. May 5 in Ferguson Auditorium. Featuring selections from Mozart’s Requiem, jazz numbers and soloists, the concert is free and open to the public.

Student art show starts May 2

A-B Tech’s Fine Arts Department will hold its annual juried Student Spring Art Show from May 2 to 25 at the Asheville Area Arts Council’s gallery, The Artery, at 346 Depot Street in the River Arts District.

Drama presents Hamlet April 24-27 and May 1-4

A-B Tech Drama announces production dates for the company’s 16th production, Shakespeare’s iconic tragedy Hamlet.   A-B Tech alumna Hayley Karbowski plays Hamlet and Peter Carver directs.  Shows will be at 7:30 p.m. April 24-27 and May 1-4 in the Simpson Lecture Hall on the College’s Asheville campus. Tickets are $5 for A-B Tech students, $10 for other students and $15 for adults.

 

New volunteer roles opening at A-B Tech

In its drive toward assuring student success, A-B Tech Community College initiated a volunteer and intern program last fall to support students and staff. The College’s Volunteer and Intern office is recruiting volunteers to fill the increased demand in additional roles.
