The Small Business Center (SBC) at Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College is part of the statewide Small Business Center Network (SBCN), a community college-funded initiative with a vision to foster and support entrepreneurship, small business, and economic development in local communities across the state.  Whether you are exploring entrepreneurship or you are an experienced business owner, the Small Business Center is a valuable resource for small businesses in Buncombe and Madison counties.

Counseling

Need answers?  We provide free, one-on-one confidential counseling for your small business and startup venture.  Whether you need help on business planning, business growth, problem solving, or cash flow management, plan to talk with an expert.

 

Training

Starting or growing your business?  The Small Business Center provides a variety of training and services, including fee-based courses, free seminars, counseling, events and more.

 

Resources

The Small Business Center features a library located at the A-B Tech Enka site that provides professional resources to increase your business knowledge.  In addition, you can meet with one of the many experts who volunteer with the Small Business Center. (More)

Business Incubation

Business incubation at A-B Tech is a dynamic process of entrepreneurial development designed to increase business success through consultation services, coaching, access to shared resources, office space, wet labs and manufacturing facilities.  The process of incubation is designed to build a strong foundation for long-term sustainability and growth. Entrepreneurial Outreach

Entrepreneurial outreach includes a Student Business Incubator program for A-B Tech students, Young Entrepreneurial Scholars (YES) summer camps for high-school and middle-school students and K-12 classroom presentations.  Staff are available for classroom and community presentations as well as tours of the Business Incubator.
