Otis A. Vaughn Scholarship Fund

This scholarship was established in 2013 by Heather Vaughn, in memory of her father Otis A. Vaughn. Mr. Vaughn was a six-generation Floridian. He was also a U. S. Army veteran of Vietnam. After moving to Asheville, Mr. Vaughn worked at APAC Carolina where he eventually became president of the company. Because he was never given an opportunity to attend college, he made it his mission to encourage and financially support others. He believed in actions and deeds rather than words. He also helped hundreds of people start businesses, go back to school, and find their life's path. This scholarship will continue his legacy.
