Nursing Assistant Program Passes Reaccreditation

Congratulations are in order for the Nursing Assistant program in Continuing Education/Economic and Workforce Development. They passed their reaccreditation and do not have to be reevaluated for another two years.

These classes are held in various areas and times in Buncombe and Madison counties. This re-approval allows our nurse aide programs to continue to offer the opportunity for individuals to step into an entry-level career or pursue nursing education for a higher degree.

A-B Tech has taught nurse aide classes since 1989. At times, lines of students formed outside the doors to sign up for the course, according to Teresa Robinson, Coordinator Health Occupation. All Nurse Aide programs must be approved by the state agency, Department of Health and Human Services.
