Hospitality Students Learn How to Recognize Signs of Trafficking

First-year Hospitality Management students in the Guest Services class had a one-hour presentation on Hospitality Trafficking Interception to learn how to recognize potential victims of human trafficking.

The presenter, Life 107, partnered with Theresa Flores and the SOAP project.  “It was a very valuable overview of the scope of the problem. Henderson County is particularly a hot bed, believe it or not, and how to look for signs of trafficking. I plan to have them back to address our students next fall as well,” said Cathy Horton, Department Chair, Culinary Arts & Hospitality Management.
