The JumpStart Pathways program offers dual enrollment opportunities for students studying in Transitional Studies. Students who are eligible may enroll in one of the Pathways and receive a tuition waiver to cover the cost of the curriculum or continuing education Pathway courses.
Project SEARCH, a national nonprofit program, offers young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities a unique opportunity to explore a variety of career paths as interns. Project SEARCH Asheville is a collaboration between Mission Health, The Arc of North Carolina, A-B Tech, Vocational Rehabilitation, Vaya Health, and North Carolina Council on Developmental Disabilities. Selected interns participate in three internships over the period of a year. The goal is to develop workplace skills and prepare for seeking and attaining employment after completing the program.
