Systems Administrator Work-Study - Networking and Security Lab 9/15/17
Pay: $12.00 per hour
The position will assist in administration of the computer labs in Balsam 208 and 210 and assist faculty in the documentation of all
applications and systems, provisioning and maintaining access to various applications, and tutoring students as needed during lab hours.
Proper compliance of lab policies and procedures will be essential due to the dynamic nature and continuous improvement methodology of the
lab environment. This position is specifically focused on maintaining proper security of the lab using multiple systems so that faculty can
remained focused on content delivery and maintaining fluency in in current security trends and practices.
Student must have excellent reading/writing/communication skills, and must follow written/oral directions well. Student must have a basic
familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policies, Virtualization, and outstanding technical writing skills to maintain documentation systems.
Preferred skills include a familiarity with Windows and Linux systems,intrusion detection, systems management agents, Cisco IOS, routing
and switching basics, anti-virus software, WSUS, and various industry standard documentation systems.
