    You can look up your User ID by using the What's My User ID? tool on WebAdvisor.

    If any of your contact information has changed - including e-mail address, mailing address or phone number, please complete a Continuing Education Student Enrollment/Update Form.

  4. What if my contact information has changed?

    If any of your contact information has changed - including e-mail address, mailing address or phone number, please complete Continuing Education Student Enrollment/Update Form

    Do not attempt to change your mailing address using Continuing Education Online Registration. This software uses the information you enter to select your computer record. Submit the Continuing Education Name and Address Change form to have your address changed, allow time for the Continuing Education Registration Office to make the change for you, then go to Continuing Education Registration to register using your new address. Another option is to go ahead and register, using your old address information, then submit the Continuing Education Student Enrollment/Update Form form to have your address updated.

  5. How long does it take to setup a new student online account?

    It is no longer necessary to submit an online application before submitting your first registration for a Continuing Education class. If you are a new student at A-B Tech, your computer record will be created automatically. Be careful to enter your personal information accurately, since it will be stored in your record. . If you already have a student record with A-B Tech, your record will be selected based on the name, address and birth date information you enter.  If you have questions call the Continuing Education Office at 828-398-7902 or 7903.

  6. What information is required to set up an account?

    Continuing Education Online Registration uses the following information to create an online account: your name, your date of birth, your mailing address including county of residence, your telephone number, and your email address. If you already have a student record with A-B Tech this same information is used to identify your record.

  7. Can I register a second person using my User ID and password?

    No, just as you are two different students you will need to have two different accounts.

  8. Do I still have to register if the class is free?

    Yes, if the class description states that participants must register. Having students pre-register for a free class helps the class coordinator determine seating capacity and facility usage. In addition, there may be a minimum number of participants required and having students pre-register for the class provides the instructor with this information.

  9. What if my employer is paying for my class?

    It is preferred that you or your employer faxes a registration form. Please call our Continuing Education Office at 398-7903 or sherryrlunsford@abtech.edu for further information.

  10. Why is my e-mail account showing as myname@students.abtech.edu?

    If you are a current curriculum student you will need to maintain an A-B Tech e-mail address as your main e-mail contact. You will be able to select an alternate e-mail address to send payment receipts to if you prefer. How to access your A-B Tech email.

  11. What if I am a minor (16 or 17 years old) interested in Continuing Education classes?

    Continuing Education course offerings are designed for adult learners. In special cases, 16 and 17 year-olds will be considered when they obtain the required permissions and signatures on the College’s Minor Permission Form before attending class. Students under the age of 16 are not permitted to attend class. Please contact our Continuing Education Registration Office at 398-7903 for further details.

  12. Why do some of the fields on the Continuing Education WebAdvisor Account Request appear in yellow even though they are not required?

    Yellow fields appear in Internet Explorer 7.0 when you have entered similar information on another website. It is a prompt to make the website easier to complete - the information is however not required.

  14. I use Mozilla (Firefox) or Safari, why am I having problems registering?

    WebAdvisor is currently approved for use with Internet Explorer. Although you may use Mozilla (Firefox) or Safari we are unable to resolve technical difficulties at this point. Please contact the software provider.

  15. What if I prefer not to use my social security number to retrieve my user id?

    Your A-B Tech student ID is printed under your name in the top left corner of any Continuing Education class receipt. If you cannot locate a receipt, please contact our Continuing Education Registration Office to receive your Web Advisor Student ID #.
