The Board of Trustees invites applications and nominations for the position of President of Asheville Buncombe Technical Community College. The President is the chief executive of the College and reports to a 15-member board.
Founded in 1959, Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College (A-B Tech) is now celebrating its 60thanniversary. Located in the heart of Asheville, A-B Tech is a comprehensive community college and the largest higher education institution in Western North Carolina, serving more than 23,000 students a year in Buncombe and Madison counties through our curriculum, continuing education and workforce development programs. Located on a picturesque campus bordered by Biltmore Estate, Asheville High School, and Mission Health, A-B Tech attracts local residents, as well as students from across the country who are drawn to Asheville’s mountains and thriving community. A-B Tech also has four other locations in Madison County, South Asheville, Woodfin and Enka, where our Small Business Center and Incubation Program and the Craft Beverage Institute of the Southeast are located.
