Dental Hygiene students had a 100 percent pass rate on their written National Boards and their clinical boards. One of the online national board exams is about 500 questions covering all topics in dental hygiene, including micro biology. The students also have to pass the regional board that consists of another 100 questions online and then a clinical board, which is a patient-based exam.
For the third year in a row, the Health and Fitness Science program has a 100 percent pass rate for the nationally accredited American Council on Exercise Personal Trainer Exam. The program now has 11 new certified personal trainers.
The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) has awarded continuing accreditation to the Medical Assisting associate degree program at A-B Tech. The next review will take place in 10 years.
