Rafting and Zipline Guide Classes Starting at A-B Tech Madison

A-B Tech Madison, in conjunction with French Broad Adventures, is offering guide classes for whitewater rafting and zipline this spring. Students in either class must be 18 years old to register and must register in person at either the A-B Tech Asheville Campus or A-B Tech Madison.
Learn fundamentals and skills needed to become a whitewater rafting guide. The class will focus on how to read whitewater, use river signals, maneuver and rig rafts, tie knots, work with guests and other basic river operations. The class meets Saturdays and Sundays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. starting April 28 for four weeks, meeting at French Broad Adventures in Marshall.
Zipline Guide Training is a growing tourism component in the tourism industry. In this class you will learn skills to work as a Zipline Guide. There will be instructional time in the classroom and on site at French Broad Adventures. The first set of classes will be from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday during the week of April 30. Another opportunity to take the class will be Wednesday evenings and Saturdays and Sundays starting May 9.
