Project SEARCH Kickoff
Project SEARCH held its annual kickoff for its internship programs August 31 in the Magnolia Dining Room. Project SEARCH, a national nonprofit program, offers young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities a unique opportunity to explore a variety of career paths as interns. Project SEARCH Asheville is a collaboration between Mission Health, The Arc of North Carolina, A-B Tech, Vocational Rehabilitation, Vaya Health, and North Carolina Council on Developmental Disabilities. Selected interns participate in three internships over the period of a year. The goal is to develop workplace skills and prepare for seeking and attaining employment after completing the program.
