A-B Tech Limited Programs Open for Registration on April 6
Apply Early for Admission to Brewing, Cosmetology, Healthcare, EMS Programs
A-B Tech Community College will open Limited Admission registration for several in-demand degree programs for the Fall 2018 semester on Friday, April 6 at 8 a.m. These programs are capped when full, so interested applicants are encouraged to apply early and in person at the Bailey Student Services Building on the Asheville campus.
The programs begin in August, but are opened for early admission because they have limited capacity due to clinical site, resource, and/or lab space availability. Students are accepted into these programs on a first-come, first-served basis and fill up quickly. In many instances, programs may fill on the first day of registration. However, because applicants also are required to meet certain requirements for each program, even students on waiting lists ultimately may be admitted. For example, the popular Brewing, Distillation and Fermentation program admitted six people from its waiting list last year.
Limited Admission programs include:
- Brewing, Distillation and Fermentation
- Cosmetology Instructor
- Emergency Medical Science
- Medical Assisting
- Pharmacy Technology
