Community Resource Information Sites

United Way's 211 of Western North Carolina: Provides a listing of a variety of resources for the Western North Carolina region, including a plethora of social services resources, volunteer opportunities, and support groups.  Provides information on the Asheville-area, including volunteer opportunities and support groups.

The Mountain Express:  A community newspaper for Asheville and surrounding areas that also provides a listing of volunteer opportunities and a community calendar with listings of support groups.

CarePartners:  Provides a variety of health resources for the Asheville-area, opportunities for volunteering, and linkage to support groups.

Asheville Citizen-Times:  Provides a health calendar with listings of support groups.

Mission Hospital System:  Provides health information and opportunities for volunteering.

A-B Tech's Service Learning Center:  Facilitates volunteer opportunities specifically for the students of Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College.  The Service Learning Coordinator can be contacted by calling (828) 254-1921 and asking for the Service Learning Center.
