Academic Awards Ceremonies
The Student Services Division hosts a Certificate Ceremony twice a year to honor students who have completed Certificate Programs and those on the President's List and Dean's List.
Program Certificates are awarded to those who have completed a focused short-term program or course of study. Certificates are designed to provide an opportunity to achieve entry-level job skills, to upgrade skills or to cross-train.
To be eligible for the Dean’s List a student must have completed at least 8 credits of 100 level or above courses, maintain a 3.75 GPA and have no F, I, U or X grades.
To be eligible for the President’s List a student must have completed at least 12 credits of 100 or above level courses, maintain a perfect 4.0 GPA and have no F, I, U or X grades.
Each April the College hosts the Academic Awards Ceremony to honor one outstanding student from each program area. Student are selected for this honor based on GPA, attendance, class participation and other factors such as tutoring peers in subject area, above and beyond efforts in classroom or clinical sites, etc. Student selected for this award will be given a medallion to wear at commencement.
