Computer Technologies Advising

Computer Technologies Advising Appointments

Meeting with your Computer Technologies advisor is important for student success. It's not just about registering for classes; it's about picking the right pathway, meeting your personal needs, and fulfilling the requirements of your program.

Schedule an Advising AppointmentAdvisors

When you enroll as a student, you will be placed with an advisor for your program. Advising is typically open for a month before the end of the current semester, but continues up until the first class meeting time! Register early though, since some classes do fill up!

Summer Advising

Many instructors are gone for the summer (late May-early Aug). You may need to advise with available instructors or chairpersons. Sign up for Computer Technologies Advising Appointments at

What to Expect During Advising

Typical appointments are around 30 minutes, depending on advising needs. While meeting, your advisor will create an "Ed Plan" (Educational Plan) for you in WebAdvisor, which includes classes for the next semester(s) that match your selected program. You may then register for approved classes (in your ed plan) after your registration day/time (sent to you via email).

  1. If you are a new student, please bring your completed PI form (Personal Information) form with the results of your placement testing.
  2. Make sure you know your Student ID.
  3. If you have a work schedule, please let your advisor know.
