On a national level, employers have identified the skills and attributes they most need in their employees.  The Key Train/Career Ready 101 is a free online system of complete interactive learning tools to train individuals in these identified skills.  These skills lead to more success in job search and in advancement in the workplace.  Career Ready 101 covers every aspect of your job search including job search techniques, effective resumes, the job application process and interviewing skills.  More employers than ever indicate behavioral skills or soft skills as the most lacking in the applicants they interview.  In Career Ready 101, you will learn the work habits and communication skills that you need to become a valued employee.   You will build on your knowledge of workplace ethics, self-management skills and employer expectations.

As you strengthen your skills in areas such as listening, observation, reading, problem solving, and applied technology you will be better prepared and more confident for today’s workplace and educational challenges.

Career Ready 101/CR 101 also provides training, practice exercises and test questions to prepare you to take the Workkeys assessment to earn your Career Readiness Certificate.  It has also been shown to improve passing rates on GED and Accuplacer exams.  This tutorial is designed to increase your skill levels quickly and efficiently.  It’s also flexible, and can be used wherever there is a computer with an internet connection.  The courseware is free, confidential, easy to use, and you work at your own pace.
