Planting the Seeds of Agritourism: Free Classes in Madison County

The Small Business Center at A-B Tech Community College and the Madison County Cooperative Extension are offering a free seven-session Agritourism Short Course Thursday evenings starting January 31.

Welcoming visitors to farms may be someone’s next agribusiness and can bring in supplemental farm income. Participants will learn about types of agritourism ventures, legal and risk management requirements, and discover available agribusiness resources. Students may attend the entire course or individual classes. However, registration is necessary.

All classes will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Madison County Cooperative Extension Center, 258 Carolina Lane in Marshall.
