Transitional Studies offers free pre-college education and training to students ages 16 and older. Our non-traditional college-prep services are designed to be flexible and relevant to student’s goals and schedules. Exam prep in our programs includes support for the GED®, HiSet®, Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE), NC-DAP college placement test, and even the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), Our adult education classes offer a chance to brush up on basic skills without having to pay for tutoring. Adult Basic Education Foundation classes support students in developing academic, workplace, and independent living skills. English Language Acquisition (ELA or ESL) classes provide English practice and training in reading, writing, speaking, listening, civics, and career skills.
