Solar Photovoltaic Certificate

Program Code: 

This certificate prepares students to work in the solar industry with hands-on applications and NABCEP-focused instruction.  The program focuses on the design and installation of photovoltaic (PV) systems although students will also learn about other clean and renewable energy production systems, energy modeling software, as well as the socio-political aspect of this growing industry. 

The program sequence is most efficient if started during the Spring semester.

Note*  The program sequence is most efficient if started during Spring semester.  ALT-120 is only offered Spring semesters,  while ELC-220 is only offered Fall semesters.  SST-110 can be taken either semester although there are more sections offered in the Fall.  ELC-111 and EGR-125 should be taken the first semester regardless of whether you start Spring or Fall.
