A-B Tech Shuttle Plan

Fall 2007

Beginning August 20, 2007, the Security Office will use two (2) of the college’s 15 passenger vans for the shuttle service. These vans will be marked with magnetic signs and amber lights.

Shuttle Schedule:

• Begin: 8:00 am; End: 3:00 pm Monday through Friday
• Hours may fluctuate as class days and times are evaluated (Example: Tuesdays and Thursdays are usually slower days with different class times). After evaluating traffic volume for the first two weeks, shuttles may begin later or end sooner than other days. Appropriate announcements will be made if the schedule is changed.
• Evening shuttle hours will not be offered at this time.

Shuttle Routes:

Two 15-passenger vans will make about seven stops at various campus locations at fifteen to thirty minutes intervals. Shuttles have a basic cycle of stops; however, they will stop for students flagging them down. The cycles are timed for minimum wait times but may be delayed for stops not listed below. Shuttles will run in opposite directions to keep the shuttle wait to a minimum and to off-set students coming to and leaving campus.

Shuttle #1 – Begin at lot B-17

• Stop 1 – Sunnicrest gravel lot, Lot A-10
• Stop 2 – Elm, Laurel, Sycamore Junction, Lot A-9
• Stop 3 – Lot A-7 (gravel landfill lot)
• Stop 4 – Lot A-12 (gravel lot with the picnic shed behind the  Maple/Joblink)
• Stop 5 – Elm, Coman Center, Sycamore junction, Lot A-15
• Stop 6 – Hemlock, Lot A-20
• Stop 7 – Birch, Dogwood, Balsam, and Rhododendron j unction, Lot B-6
• Begin cycle again

Shuttle #2 – Begin at lot B-17

• Stop 1 – Birch, Dogwood, Balsam, and Rhododendron Junction, Lot B-6
• Stop 2 – Hemlock, Lot A-20
• Stop 3 – Elm, Coman Center, Sycamore Junction, Lot A-15
• Stop 4 – Lot A-12 (gravel lot with the picnic shed behind the  Maple/Joblink)
• Stop 5 – Lot A-7 (gravel landfill lot)
• Stop 6 – Elm, Laurel, Sycamore Junction, Lot A-9
• Stop 7 – Sunnicrest gravel lot, Lot A-10
• Begin cycle again
