The Small Business Center/Business Incubator at A-B Tech is striving to assist both its Incubator tenants and local businesses in their efforts to reach customers in the global marketplace. The Small Business Center/Business Incubator also provides assistance to other countries in modeling the success found here in Western North Carolina by sharing valuable business development information.

International Partnership Agreements
Current international partnership agreements exist with the following organizations:

Guadalajara, Mexico - Sedichem Chemical Incubator, Vaal University of Technology
Vanderbijlpark, South Africa - Indo Asian Academy Group of Institutions: Bangalore, India

International Business Research
The Small Business Center/Business Incubator works closely with several undergraduate and graduate business programs who engage in various international market research projects. This group, the International Student Business Growth Coalition (ISBGC) helps businesses lower market entry barriers and provides an opportunity for students to gain real world experience while working with students from around the globe. In addition, business clients receive in-depth research at no cost.
Export Expo
The Small Business Center/Business Incubator works closely with the NC Department of Commerce’s International Trade Davison, the U.S. Commercial Service, and many private sector businesses in order to help local businesses who are either currently involved with exporting or wish to get involved in exporting. The Export Expo is a day-long event; held each fall, in which experts share their knowledge on a variety of topics ranging from how to enter the global marketplace to understanding international commercial terms and international finance.
