Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)

The MCSA certification is designed for professionals who implement, manage, and troubleshoot existing network and system environments based on the Microsoft Windows® 2000 and Windows.NET Server platforms. Implementation responsibilities include installing and configuring system components. Management responsibilities include administering and supporting the systems.

Prerequisite: An MCSA candidate should have 12 months of experience working with a desktop operating system, a network operating system, and an existing network infrastructure.

Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)

The Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer credential is the premier certification for professionals who analyze the business requirements for a system architecture, design solutions, deploy, install, and configure architecture components, and troubleshoot system problems. MCSE's in the Windows 2000 track are required to pass five core exams and two elective exams that provide a valid and reliable measure of technical proficiency and expertise.

Prerequisite: An MCSE candidate should have 18 months of experience working with a desktop operating system, a network operating system, and an existing network infrastructure.

Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA)

The Microsoft Certified Database Administrator credential is the premier certification for professionals who lead organizations in the successful design, implementation, and administration of Microsoft SQL Server™ databases. Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) on Microsoft SQL Server™ 2000 candidates need to pass three core exams and one elective exam that provide a valid and reliable measure of technical proficiency and expertise in the implementation and administration of SQL Server databases.


Program Descriptions

As a flexible alternative for today's high tech workforce, A-B Tech offers MCSA, MCSE and MCDBA review courses online in partnership with Gatlin Education online learning. Classes are run in an asynchronous format.

In addition to online classes, face to face review classes with industry professionals are arranged based on student need. These classes will need a minimum number of students to take place. If you are interested in attending the next class, contact us.

Microsoft Certification

To become certified, candidates must successfully complete certification exams based on the Microsoft standards.

Testing Centers

MCSE / MCSA and MCDBA exams can be taken at testing centers nationwide. A-B Tech currently offers these exams in conjunction with VUE Testing. Exams are given Tuesdays between the hours of 10 AM and 3 PM. Other times may be available by appointment. To schedule an exam, click here.
