Meet Jo Reynolds, Volunteer for April
March 24, 2014
Jo Reynolds finishes up with her classes during the week at A-B Tech and then heads to Pamela Silvers’ department in Balsam. Silvers, chair of the business computers technologies department, is very adept in requesting and training volunteers to fill assorted position and provide varying degrees of support to her busy environment.
Reynolds is one of Silvers’ coveted volunteers who logs anywhere from six to twelve hours a month. As an accounting major here at A-B Tech, Reynolds draws on her organizational and administrative skills to help the department run smoothly and complete any projects Silvers’ sends her way. “Jo has been an invaluable asset as a volunteer. Projects come up that require attention and Jo is always willing to assist,” said Silvers.
With a cheerful attitude, Reynolds completes her volunteer assignments. “Jo balances many items such as taking classes, working as a scribe, personal life and volunteering and she does it all well,” says Silvers. Her back ground with administrative work for Bank of America Investment Services, Inc., Jo Loves Pets, Sofa Express and Value City Furniture has made her a tremendous asset as a volunteer.
“Jo went through volunteer orientation in July 2013 and since that time has consistently provided A-B Tech with her valuable time and talents,” said Jeralie Andrews, coordinator of volunteer and intern services. “I’m happy to recognize her as a volunteer of the month and we all thank her for her service to A-B Tech.”
