The Inaugural State Employees’ Credit Union Continuing Education Scholarship Breakfast was held Thursday, June 19 at the Business Acceleration Site at Enka (BASE).  Continuing Education students were honored for their participation and achievements in this first year of the program that awards 10 students a $750 scholarship for non-credit training that leads to certification. The NC SECU Foundation provides funding for the program.

Students may use the remainder of their funds, after tuition, fees, books, supplies and testing, to help offset expenses such as travel and childcare. Special guest Mary Ann Rice, left, Senior Vice President for SECU located at Asheville-Biltmore Village, presented students with certificates and congratulated students on their accomplishments.
