A-B Tech Community College and the Drama Club announce production dates for the company’s twentieth and final production, Unnecessary Farce by Paul Slade Smith. Peter Carver directs. Laura Chaney heads the design team. Performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, April 24, 25, 26, May 1, 2, 3 and at 2:30 p.m.

Plant Sale on Campus

The A-B Tech Biology Department is pleased to announce the 7th annual Sara R. Gnilka Memorial Plant Sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, May 2 on the lawn of the Sycamore Building.

*An amazing selection of bedding plants, including vegetables, flowers, herbs!

*All Proceeds go directly to A-B Tech Scholarship and Arboretum Funds.  Last year we raised $6,000!

Stand Against Racism

A-B Tech and its partner, the YWCA, and sponsors (City of Asheville, MAHEC, and UNCA) have joined forces to host the 2014 Stand Against Racism Event from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday, April 28 in Ferguson Auditorium. This initiative brings people together to raise awareness that racism still exists and can no longer be ignored or tolerated.

Grow the Campus Green

Get outside and help make A-B Tech's campus a better, greener place during Grow the Campus Green from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, April 24.  This year volunteers will be planting greenery that attracts pollinators.  Grab your gloves and meet us at the Beech Tree Deck at 11.

Texting While Driving Simulator

Experience the consequences of texting while behind the wheel of our full-sized vehicle simulator from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22 near the Beech Tree Deck. 

Last SGA Meeting of the Semester

The Student Government Association will meet from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 23 in Holly 121. This is the last meeting of the semester.  A-B Tech’s Student Government does not meet over the summer, and will resume session in the fall. 

Earth Day Celebration

Join us  for the annual A-B Tech Earth Day celebration from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 22 on the Beech Tree Deck/Coman Student Center. The celebration will include environmental booths, music, a picnic lunch, chair massages, t-shirts, and much more! Students need to present their IDs for lunch.

DIVE the movie

As part of the lineup for Earth Week, A-B Tech will be screening the film “Dive” at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 21 in Ferguson Auditorium.
