Domestic Violence Awareness Vigil

The A-B Tech Diversity and Inclusion Committee invites you to join us for the Domestic Violence Awareness Vigil at 6 p.m. Tuesday, October 28 in the Magnolia Dining Room. Honor the victims and survivors of abuse. Helpmate, A-B Tech, and the YWCA are working together to host this powerful program.

Buncombe County and A-B Tech Dedicate New Emergency Services Education Building in Woodfin

Buncombe County and Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College (A-B Tech) today dedicated a new classroom building at the Buncombe County Public Safety Training Campus in Woodfin. A-B Tech currently conducts professional continuing education at the training center and will move its Emergency Services Division academic programs to the new building in January.

In 1990, the U. S. Congress established the first full week of October as Mental Illness Awareness Week (MIAW). Since then, communities across the country sponsor activities to raise awareness and connect individuals to needed services.
