Dolly Horton jokes that she celebrates a little each time a new beam goes up at the site of A-B Tech’s new Allied Health building.

Horton, who is dean of Allied Health and Public Service Education, has been waiting a long time for this.

Students named to Spring President’s List at A-B Tech

A-B Tech has announced the following students have been named to the President’s List for the spring semester. To qualify, students must be enrolled in an academic program, carry at least 12 credit hours of curriculum courses numbered 100 or above, and have a 4.0 quality point average for the semester under consideration:

Students named to Spring Dean’s List at A-B Tech

A-B Tech has announced that the following students have been named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester. To qualify, students must be enrolled in an academic program, carry at least eight credit hours of curriculum courses numbered 100 or above, and have a minimum 3.75 quality point average for the semester under consideration:

Surgical Technology Students are Scrub Bowl Champions

A-B Tech Community College Surgical Technology students placed first in the state at the NC Alliance of Surgical Technology Educators Scrub Bowl July 12 at Sandhills Community College in Pinehurst. This is the second time in three years a team from A-B Tech took top honors.

The A-B Tech Community College Foundation will present the second in a series of summer Afternoon Teas and Lectures at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 9 in the Fernihurst Building on the A-B Tech Asheville campus.
