Graduates celebrate during Commencement May 18 with record-breaking numbers

U.S. Rep. Mark Meadows encouraged graduates to pursue three Ps – passion, perspiration and perseverance - during his address at A-B Tech Community College’s commencement exercises May 18 in the Sherrill Center at UNC Asheville. About 1,078 students were recognized as candidates for 1,124 degrees and diplomas, the largest class in the College's history.

A-B Tech signs MOU with Appalachian for Honors Program

A-B Tech Community College signed its a Memorandum of Understanding with Appalachian State University to allow students who participated in the Honors Program at A-B Tech a fast track into the Honors College at Appalachian, giving them the opportunity to graduate with Honors. 

Enjoy a free chorus concert May 5

The A-B Tech Chorus spring concert will be at 7:30 p.m. May 5 in Ferguson Auditorium. Featuring selections from Mozart’s Requiem, jazz numbers and soloists, the concert is free and open to the public.

Student art show starts May 2

A-B Tech’s Fine Arts Department will hold its annual juried Student Spring Art Show from May 2 to 25 at the Asheville Area Arts Council’s gallery, The Artery, at 346 Depot Street in the River Arts District.
