Phi Beta Lambda excels at state conference

A-B Tech’s Chapter of Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) received 30 awards during the state leadership conference April 12-14 in Charlotte, including three first-place wins and 15 chapter awards.
First-place wins were earned in the categories of Cyber Security by Albert Tumash; Free Enterprise Project – “PBL Business Expo” by Stacey Cipar, Regina Curtis and Dee Parniske; and Network Design by Joel Bergstein and Tumash. Bergstein also placed second for Networking Concepts.
Fourth-place awards were earned in the categories of Accounting Principles and Future Business Executive, both by Parniske. The chapter also won fourth for its annual business report. Sixth-place wins were earned in the categories of Business Ethics by Cipar and Curtis, and Management Concepts by Curtis. Cipar also received seventh-place for Retail Management. Cipar, Curtis and Parniske were honored for their completion of the Leadership Development Program.
The chapter received the NCPBL Gold Star Chapter, Terry Lowrance Leadership Award, National Gold Seal Chapter, and recognition for contribution to the NCPBL Foundation, Inc., the NCPBL Foundation Scholarship Fund, and the March of Dimes.
The chapter won first place for western region largest increase in chapter membership, western region largest professional division membership, and western region largest chapter membership.
