Line of Duty Death training class scheduled

The A-B Tech Community College Emergency Services Academy will hold a Line of Duty Death training class from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 7 and 8 at Biltmore Baptist Church, 25 Clayton Road, Arden.

The two-day class is designed for Critical Incident Stress Management trained personnel to prepare them to provide support services to emergency services agencies following a line of death duty. Paul Jockimo, a 17-year veteran in fire and emergency medical services, will instruct the class. He worked closely with emergency services personnel in New York City after 9/11.

Registration is $65, with a $1.40 insurance fee for those who are non-exempt. The textbook is $20. To preregister, contact Dara Narsiff at 398-7355 or email daraanarsiff@abtech.edu
