Health Clinic available to students

A-B Tech, in conjunction with Eblen Charities and Three Streams Family Health Centers, will open its primary care clinic for students. The clinic began in September for employees and will be available to students starting Nov. 18.

The clinic provides basic health care services for $25 for employees and $10 for students for a 15-minute visit, regardless of insurance coverage. Mid-level providers will staff the clinic for two hours a day, twice a month, tending to minor medical issues such as colds, flu, aches, smoking cessation and lesser emergencies. A-B Tech Medical Assisting students will assist as a part of their clinical internship.

Employees will schedule appointments through the Human Resources office at ext. 7570 or via primarycareproject@abtech.edu  Students will be served on a walk-in basis.  All students are eligible, but must present student ID to receive services.

Upcoming dates are Dec. 2 and 16, Jan. 6 and 20, Feb. 3 and 17, March 3 and 17, April 7 and 21, and May 5 and 19. The clinic is open from noon to 2 p.m. in Rhododendron 113.
