The "Civil War Comes to the Mountains" series was developed by WNC Historical Association to commemorate the sesquicentennial of the Civil War. Richard Graham, WNCHA board member, said "We are fortunate to have both the North Carolina Center for Creative Retirement and A-B Tech Community College supporting this continuing series, particularly in presenting such a dynamic speaker as Darin Waters."
The two remaining lectures in the "Civil War Comes to the Mountains" series will be held on June 9 and Sept. 8.
