Cherokee Choices lecture to address language and health

The Alpha Upsilon Eta chapter of Phi Theta Kappa honor society at A-B Tech is hosting Jeff Bacher, principal investigator and program director for the Cherokee Choices program, at 4 p.m. Oct. 26 in Sycamore 201 on the Asheville campus.

Bacher will address the issue of overcoming language barriers and eliminating health disparities among the Cherokee. The lecture is the second in a series centered on the Democratization of Information: Power, Peril and Promise. The lecture is free and open to the public.
