A-B Tech Foundation Announces Scholarship Recipients

Design Corps Summer Design/Build Studio Creates Community Bus Stop

Mountain Area Workforce Development Board honored 65 individuals who were among the first in the state to receive Career Readiness Certificates during a ceremony Aug. 9 at the Mountain Area JobLink Career Center.

Summer 2006 President's List

A-B Tech has announced that the following students have been named to the President's List for the summer semester. To qualify, students must be enrolled in an academic program, carry at least twelve credit hours of curriculum courses numbered 100 or above, and have a 4.0 quality point average for the semester under consideration.

Summer 2006 Dean's List

A-B Tech has announced that the following students have been named to the Dean's List for the summer semester. To qualify, students must be enrolled in an academic program, carry at least eight credit hours of curriculum courses numbered 100 or above, and have a minimum 3.75 quality point average for the semester under consideration.

Friday Film Series to Start in September

The Diversity Committee is teaming up with the Holly Learning Resources Center to present the Diversity Friday Film Festival starting in the fall semester. Open to A-B Tech students, faculty and staff, films followed by discussion, will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fridays in the LRC in room 121.

Trustee Tilson Leaves Years of Service to College

September 1

John Owen Tilson, an A-B Tech trustee for nearly 13 years, died Aug. 22. He was retired from Graybar Electric and was appointed to the A-B Tech board by the Madison County Commissioners.
