A-B Tech has received grants of $445,741 to establish a natural products laboratory and to purchase laboratory equipment in the 2006 grant cycle for the North Carolina Community College System BioNetwork.

A-B Tech has entered into an agreement with Technology 2020 to manage its Technology Commercialization Center (TCC) on the Enka campus. This program was made possible, in part, by a grant of $200,000 from Buncombe County.

A-B Tech's Medical Laboratory Technology students had a 100 percent pass rate on the national exam from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists. The eight graduates passed with an average score of 624 compared to the national average score of 485. A minimum score of 400 is required to pass.
