New members inducted into Phi Theta Kappa

New members were inducted into A-B Tech's Alpha Upsilon Eta Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society of two-year colleges, during a ceremony in Ferguson Auditorium April 10.
David Holcombe, English/Communications instructor, was the guest speaker. He compared popular culture today to that of the 1960s to see the influence it has had on society. The theme corresponds with the current Honors Study Topic - Popular Culture: Shaping and Reflecting Who We Are.
Sixty-two students joined the organization this semester. Membership is based on completion of 12 hours and a GPA of at least 3.5.
