A-B Tech’s BioBusiness Center will present a series of free programs called “An Introduction to Technology-Based Economic Development” in cooperation with the college’s Small Business Center and Incubator and the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce.

Capital Formation: Needs, Models and Sources will be Jan. 31 and is for entrepreneurs, investors, CFOs and economic development officials. The workshop will discuss different funding options, how to calculate the amount of funding a business will require and identifying sources to ask for support. Continental breakfast will be from 8 to 8:15 a.m., followed by the workshop from 8:15 to 10:30 a.m.
