A-B Tech is offering a lateral entry bridge course designed to meet the 80-hour pre-service North Carolina state requirement for lateral entry middle school and high school teachers. The course will be offered from 5 to 8 p.m. Mondays Feb. 6 through April 25 and from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays, Feb. 11, March 11, and April 8.

Participants will be required to maintain and submit an activity log, reflecting number of hours devoted to lesson plan design, classroom observations and other out-of-class and field experience type assignments.

Participants must provide verification of a B.A. or B.S. degree from an accredited 4-year college or university.

A certificate of successful completion will be awarded at the close of the program to candidates who complete all necessary requirements. The cost is $61.25, and the textbook will cost approximately $30.
