Fire Protection Technology Department Shows Latest Technology

Ryan Cole, deputy chief of the Skyland Fire Department and an adjunct Fire Protection Technology instructor; Andy Byrnes, Fire Science assistant professor at Utah Valley University, and John Witherspoon, Fire Protection Technology chair, stand in front of a driving simulator at Skyland Fire Department. Byrnes visited A-B Tech because he was interested in the College's facilities and recruit training. In addition to the simulator, Byrnes visited the fire training ground in Swannanoa and the live burn trailer at West Buncombe Fire Department. Both trailers were purchased with grants and are available for A-B Tech student training.
