The College welcomes six full-time employees who have accepted staff and faculty positions over the past month.
Christopher Stansbury, Financial Aid advisor, received his bachelor's degree from Western Carolina University and his MBA from Montreat College. He has served as a finance and insurance manager at Andy Shaw Ford in Mars Hill and as a sales representative at Allison's Inc. in Sylva.
Ken Cooper, Civil Engineering/Surveying Technology instructor, earned his associate's degree from Suffolk County Community College in Selden, N.Y. and his bachelor's from the University of Arizona in Tucson. He also has a certificate from Pima County Community College in Tucson. He has held positions as regional traffic engineer and project manager for the Arizona Department of Transportation.
Marek Sawicki, Massage Therapy instructor, earned two bachelor's degrees from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a master's degree. at the Guild of Structural Integration. He has been the co-director of Yogacraft in Asheville for the past nine years and was a yoga instructor/yoga therapist at the Grove Park Inn.
Patricia Horlick, Designed Teaching and Learning specialist, received her bachelor's degree from the University of Central Florida. She was a media specialist for the Palm Beach County School District in Delray Beach, FL, and an Instructional Technology Specialist at Palm Beach Community College in Lake Worth, FL.
Lisa Hale, Arts and Sciences secretary, received her associate's degree from Lorain County Community College in Elyria, OH. She has served as a receptionist for Office Services Support in Asheville and an executive assistance at Kerns Landscape Architecture in Asheville.
Jonathan Grunder, SSA/Mall Site Coordinator, earned his associate's degree from Santa Fe Community College in Gainesville, FL, and his bachelor's degree from UNC-Asheville. He was a surveyor/G.I.S. Technician for McGill and Associates in Asheville and was a chain man for Cavanaugh Engineering and Surveying.
