Whisenant Named Invitational Education Award Winner

Jesse Korth and Debra Whisenant

SGA President Jesse Korth presents Debra Whisenant, Nursing instructor, with the November Invitational Education Award.

Debra Whisenant, Nursing instructor, has been named the Invitational Person of the Month for November.

"She not only extends her invitational spirit to the students but also to the adjunct faculty who often call Debbie on her off time on weekends and nights. She works through any concerns with kindness. She is the glue for our first-year students, serves as committee chair for NLN accreditation, participates in the A-B Tech Leadership Institute and is especially invitational to the new nursing instructors," according to her nomination.

Nominations for the Invitational Award may be dropped in any student suggestion box or sent in the campus mail to Carol Fleming. The nominations are due by the first day of each month.

Forms are available online as well as by the student suggestion boxes, Records and Registration, the Business Office, Holly Library, and the division offices. Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to nominate individuals for the award.
