Dr. Joseph Fox, Business Administration Chair, was awarded a full scholarship to attend the 26th Annual Entrepreneurship Education Forum Nov. 7-11 in Austin, Texas.
The scholarship was awarded for Fox's leadership and creativity in bringing entrepreneurship education to A-B Tech and the community. He also was one of the presenters at the forum. His presentation, "Bridging the Entrepreneurial Divide," focused on establishing a seamless transition of entrepreneurial education from middle school to high school to the community college and ending at the four-year college level.
Fox discussed the vision of A-B Tech's new Entrepreneurship program to create a regional entrepreneurial spirit throughout Western North Carolina and the College's entrepreneurial model, as well as strategies to foster regional partnerships.
The Consortium for Entrepreneurship Education is a national membership association of 95 organizations that advocate entrepreneurship education as a lifelong learning process and provide programs for youth and adults. The conference in Austin brought more than 350 teachers together to share program ideas and establish nationwide networks.
