Designed Teaching and Learning: Creative Activities

Designed Teaching and Learning

Dianne Hughes, Early Childhood Education instructor, went through the Designed Teaching and Learning process for EDU 151 and 151A, Creative Activities and its lab.

The courses started during the fall semester and have added more interactive components in the class, such as games. "I have a lot more technology - video clips, audio, pictures, and links to other sites. I have been given a lot of support from Bethany Faber (Instructional Designer) and Cris Harshman (Educational Technology Services Coordinator)," Hughes said.

"This process has expanded my thinking. I am the least technology-wise person on this campus, but now I have a video clip from an instructor in London and webcasts I never would have used before," she said. "It's going to be better ultimately not only for my online courses, but my face-to-face students."
