Children's Holiday Party Brings Cheer To Head Start Students

About 100 students from the Head Start program of Buncombe and Madison counties were guests of honor at A-B Tech's 33rd Annual Children's Holiday party Dec. 5, including this young lady testing out her new big wheel tricycle.

A Head Start student enjoys his lunch at the Student Government Association-sponsored holiday party, a long-standing tradition at the College, providing toys for children who may not have other gifts during the holiday season.

Trying to remember what she wants to tell Santa, a Head Start student visits the jolly old elf himself as part of the holiday party where children, ages 3-5, ate lunch, received stuffed stockings, big wheel tricycles, and helmets purchased with donations from students, faculty, and staff.

Members of the Student Paramedic Association hold a fundraiser each year in order to sponsor at least 30 children for the party.
