Chris Fay, Criminal Justice Technology chair, will be a panelist at the Spring Conference of the North Carolina Association of Community College Instructional Administrators/Student Development Administrators Association (NCCIA/SDAA). The conference will be March 5-7 in Asheville at the Crowne Plaza Resort. College President Dr. Betty Young will give the welcome.
Robin Keith, Surgical Technology chair, was recognized as a reviewer in the student book "Surgical Technology for the Surgical Technologist: A Positive Care Approach," third edition, published by the Association of Surgical Technologists.
The A-B Tech Nursing program and instructor Laura Brown were mentioned in an article in "Advance for Nurses," a magazine for RNs in the Southeastern states. The story "Precepting Plus" is about the orientation program at Asheville Specialty Hospital, which has a partnership with the College. Brown helps select students for the program.
