Universal Campaign Success

Thank you for your generous support of the Universal Campaign. Your contribution provides hope, encouragement, and inspiration to our students, College, and community. For them, it's an opportunity to create a different life for their families, a chance to attend college, and a way of reaching a long-time career goal. Your contributions totaling $31,961.04 to the Foundation and $29,160.60 for the United Way will provide needed assistance. Thank you for accepting our "invitation to grow."

Our Division Coordinators were an important part of the success of the campaign. The Division Coordinators accepted the invitation to coordinate the division meetings and to follow up with everyone in their division to ensure forms were returned. Thank you to Tisha Anderson, Tamala Barnettt, Jenifer Burns, Kevin Fletcher, Chris Martin, Marlene Roden, Elizabeth Scarbrough, Dianne Thompson, Nancy Troxler, and Shelley White. Because of their efforts, nearly 300 forms were returned.

Our scholarship recipients write thank you notes to the Foundation Board and to their sponsors. The following excerpts express their appreciation for your support the best.

"Receiving this scholarship's financial assistance is most helpful since my mother lost her job of 23+ years due to company downsizing. Although I hold a part-time job, neither my parents nor I are in a position to fund the expenses of college alone."

"This scholarship is very important to my education. It now allows me to afford the cost of tuition and to pay for things needed to be in school. Attending college will mean many things to my family and me. I have an opportunity to change my life for the better and to follow my dreams. I have wanted to go to school for about two years now, but until now have never had the means to do so."

"I want to thank you again, no a thousand times, for this scholarship. Scholarships have such a tremendous impact."

"It is truly an honor to receive this scholarship. I am forever thankful to you for this gift. I will honor this scholarship and you by devoting my time, hard work, and dedication to my program of study."
