Blood Drive a Success

Donors received T-shirts after donating blood.

Students Deborah Crowell (left) and Lloyd Simon and Information Systems Technology Helpdesk Specialist Elizabeth Williams proudly display the T-shirts they received after making a donation during the College's July 14 blood drive. Twenty-five people participated in the drive, including five first-time donors, and 25 productive units were collected. The College usually holds a blood drive in the fall, but event organizer Holly McCurry, the College's Wellness Coordinator, scheduled the drive after receiving a letter from the Red Cross stating that the nation's blood supply was running low.
