Among the numerous amenities enjoyed during the ceremony were music from The Magills, a cake created by Hospitality Education instructor Vince Donatelli and food prepared by Hospitality Education faculty, graduates and students.

Spartanburg Visit Applauded
Regina Eaker, Director of Human Resources at Spartanburg Technical College, wrote a letter of thanks on behalf of her colleagues who visited A-B Tech on May 5. In her letter to President K. Ray Bailey, Eaker wrote, 'We would like to express our appreciation to you and your employees for allowing us to visit...Our employees were able to gather new ideas. You have a beautiful campus and very enthusiastic employees. We appreciate you taking the time out of your busy schedule to meet with us.'
College's IE Experience in Book
Deborah Lonon, Invitational Education Coordinator, has been asked to share A-B Tech's experience with invitational education in the book Creating Inviting Schools. The college's chapter would be the only one in the book featuring higher education.
Jones-Nickens, Fullam Thanked
Jackie Jones-Nickens, Chair of Social Services, and instructor Carla Fullam, received an e-mail from a student who wanted to express his appreciation for their efforts. The student mentioned a letter of support written by Jones-Nickens had helped him win an award and that the letter will now 'always be in my glory file.' Regarding Fullam, the student wrote, 'You gave me the freedom and confidence in your classes to be able to express myself in ways I had forgotten I could.'
