Award-winning author presents latest book
Award-winning author Ron Rash read from his latest book, "Serena," Oct. 1 in Ferguson Auditorium as part of the college's 50th anniversary celebration. Rash is the John and Dorothy Parris Distinguished Professor of Appalachian Cultural Studies at Western Carolina University and the recipient of a prestigious O. Henry Prize for his short story "Speckled Trout," published in The Kenyon Review. The Fellowship of Southern Writers named him recipient of its James Still Award for Writing of the Appalachian South.
