General Information
The Career and College Promise College Transfer Pathways provide students with course options that will transfer directly to all 16 University of North Carolina institutions, and many of the state's private colleges. Each pathway allows qualified students to satisfy core requirements in a particular curriculum area, and all courses in the transfer pathways carry honors weight.
There are four transfer pathways:
- Business and Economics
- Life and Health Sciences
- Humanities and Social Sciences
- Engineering and Math
All four tracks are composed entirely of transferable classes that provide the student with a solid, pre-major background. Although a student can only participate in one track at a time, he or she may change the program of study major between semesters with approval of the high school principal (or his/her designee) and the college’s chief student development administrator.
To find out how to qualify for a transfer pathway, go to the "Admission Requirements" link in the upper-lefthand corner. To see the course selections that are available under the four transfer pathways, go to the "Curriculum" link.
